Happy Valentine’s Day Mouse!

It is almost time for the holiday which is all about love! We love that here at Love & Co.! This week we have story pieces to go along with the story, Happy Valentine’s Day, Mouse! AND comprehension questions. If you do not have a laminator for the story pieces, just print them on card stock for a durable alternative. You will notice there are some extra cards. Hold on to those for more Valentine’s Day fun on the next blog with our loveable mouse as inspiration.

All kiddos learn differently so I also made some videos this week to demonstrate some teaching examples.

This first video is just a quick tutorial to teach families how to add buttons on the App, Proloquo2go. It will give you an idea of how I organize storybooks for language arts for my boys.

The next video shows how Ben uses his AAC to answer questions about the book. He is working on characters for this book.

In the next video, although an AAC tablet user, George volunteered to show how to use the story pieces to answer questions.

Finally, Davyd and I made a video of him using the comprehension question pages to give examples of how to use them. I made 2 levels of writing for this activity.

We hope you love this week’s blog activities. Next week, we will have some more Valentine’s activities that go with this story.
