We are continuing our lessons for Presidents’ Day, this week, with a story about George Washington. This is great for social studies.

Some examples of how to incorporate books to help build language at home:
- Use books to ask questions and build vocabulary.
- Beginning books focus on speech sounds and word production.
- Rhyming books build phonological skills. Phonological skills are hearing and manipulating sounds in spoken language.
- Picture books are a great way to learn how to label and identify.
Speech and language skills are the foundations of learning to read. Reading to children is a great way to continue speech therapy sessions at home.
I have made 3 levels to teach a variety of learners.
